The Land of Lincoln Barbershop summer picnic at Lake Lou Yeager was a smashing success!
And what's a picnic without some spontaneous singing. Click HERE to see what we mean! Here's the (out of camera range) tenor who made the spontaneous "Under the Boardwalk" sparkle!

Test your knowledge of barbershop music by using the new barbershop wiki project.  In Hawaiian, "wiki" means "quick." A wiki is an encyclopedia article written by experts in the field. That's you. If you want to contribute to the wiki, you are invited to do so. The underlying assumption is that when an error makes its way into the wiki, somebody will spot the error and correct it on the spot. That's much better than the old system in which expert opinions were not to be challenged. (For example, for over a century, explorers and cartographers insisted that California was an island and not part of the North American continent.) To go to the barbershop wiki project, click HERE. It has articles on every nearly every aspect of barbershop singing and arranging.

Last fall, the Land of Lincoln Barbershop Chorus sang "Where the Southern Roses Grow" for the Illinois district competition in Peoria, Illinois. Here is the song done by a wonderful quartet, Celebration

At the competition, the Chorus opened with their version of Basin Street Blues, a song made famous by Louis Armstrong.

And our quartets (such as "True Blue," below) continue to entertain crowds throughout Illinois.
